Blue Cottage Consulting is different - we have vision, knowledge, experience, and a point of view. Our professionals have held executive and management positions at some of the best medical centers in the country. Most importantly, we seek projects and clients that want to transform healthcare.
Using design to empower others and create positive social change, Ms. Raber is passionate about design for children, health, education, and well-being. Her award winning design work in the healthcare industry includes the creation of “Ollie,” a comfort companion for children in frequent hospital care. Designed to provide children between the ages of three and eight with a tool for self-comfort, Ollie provides opportunities for familiarity, calming, understanding, positive distraction, self-expression, and pride. Other projects include “Dayla,” a bent wood, kitchen standing aid, for people with limited stability and “Ede,” a kinetic toy for children that encourages interaction with the imagination. Prior to joining Blue Cottage, she was a design researcher for Emily Carr University, a research assistant for Providence Health and Stantec Architecture, programmer and site supervisor for Vancouver School Board’s Community School Team, and summer programs coordinator at Steveston Community Center. Ms. Raber received her bachelor’s of design degree in industrial design from the Emily Carr University of Art and Design.
